Introducing - Anastasia PMU artist

Local to Lloydminster, Anastasia has taken her passion for beauty to a new level.

She recently decided to take on a new career path in Semi-permanent makeup.

She has completed multiple certifications through the Beauty Room Academy and Stardust PRO Beauty Studio and Academy. She will be starting her business; Beauty by Anastasia PMU out of Nouveau Laser and Aesthetic Centre.

Semi-permanent makeup (PMU) is a cosmetic technique that implants pigment into the upper layers of the skin to enhance features such as eyebrows, eyeliner and lips. It sits between traditional makeup and permanent tattoos: the pigment is deposited more superficially than a tattoo, so results last months to a few years rather than lifelong, and they gradually fade over time.

How it works

• Pigment application: A trained technician uses specialized tools—manual hand devices, digital machines — to place pigment into the epidermis and superficial dermis.

• Colour selection: Pigments are chosen to match natural tones and account for how colours will change as they heal and fade.

• Layering and strokes: Techniques vary by area. Nano-needling creates hair-like strokes for brows; powder brows use shading for a filled/makeup look; eyeliner is applied along the lash line; lip blushing adds colour and definition to the lips.

  Multiple sessions may be scheduled to refine shape and colour.
